Online giving to lacrosse program now available
03/04/2007
Thanks to our friends at UCLA Recreation and our generous supporters we now have online giving. Donors may now chose from a variety of payment options and will benefit from the option of %100 tax deductability.
Our fund is titled the "Friends of Men's Lacrosse". It is a part of the club team funds option. We would like to thank all of the parents, alumni and friends that have helped grow our fund to help with he ever increasing costs of running a top-notch MCLA Lacrosse Program.
UCLA men's lacrosse competes nationally in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and regionally in th Western Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL). The MCLA consists of nearly 200 programs across the country in nine conferences. The UCLA men's lacrosse team has been in existence since the 1969 season and won the WCLL Conference Championship in 1982. UCLA Lacrosse is supported by UCLA Recreation, but receives less than %3 of their operating budget from the school each year. The program is largely self-funded and comes from dues and extensive fundraising. Our largest fundraisers are our annual fall and summer boys' camps.

Freshman attackman Victor Poon netted 3 goals in the second half and senior midfielder Trey Shelton added 2 goals including the first one of the game. This marks the 4th year in a row that the home team failed to win the Crosstown Game. The Bruins fall to 7-2 against USC since annual game was restarted in 1999.
Bruins stun California, 6-5
02/04/2007
Playing in their second contest in as many days, the UCLA Men's Lacrosse team out dueled the Cal Bears in a classic UCLA-Cal lacrosse match Sunday afternoon in Berekeley. The Bruins (3-1) trailed 4-5 late in the 4th quarter before senior attackman Chris Finley scored a goal during an unsettled situation in front of the cage. With just over a minute to play, senior midfielder John Shelton hit the game winner, beating his defenseman from the top of the box. Shelton, Finley and junior attackman Jeremy Gessow each racked up 2 points for the Bruins. The Cal Bears fall to 0-2 on the season.
